Music of Parasmani, Harishchandra Taramati in 1963, Sant Gyaneshwar, Dosti, Sati Savitri, Mr X In Bombay, Aaya Toofan, in 1964, Shreeman Fantoosh, Hum Sab Ustad Hai, Lootera, in 1965, Dillagi, Aasra, Mere Lal in 1966 etc became popular. Music of тАЬDostiтАЭ put Laxmikant-Pyarelal in the top music directors rank.
In the second half of the sixties (after 1965), Laxmikant-Pyarelal became the household name in hindi film music. It was like a TSUNAMI of songs from Laxmikant-Pyarelal and were primarily responsible for eliminating the dominance of the older music directors. Many big names in film making started replacing their regular music directors and preferred Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

Producer/Director C V Sridhar was the first to replace Shankar-Jaikishan (тАЬDil Ek Mandir”) and signed Laxmikant-Pyarelal for his next film тАЬPyar Kiye JaaтАЭ, released in 1966. In the same year another big name in film making, J. Om Prakash, replaced Shankar-Jaikishan (тАЬAas Ka PanchhiтАЭ, 1961 and тАЬAayee Milan Ki BelaтАЭ, 1964) and signed Laxmikant-Pyarelal for тАЬAaye Din Bahar KeтАЭ, starring Dharmendra – Asha Parekh, 1966. Musical Hit film тАЬAaye Din Bahar KeтАЭ became the first film of Laxmikant-Pyarelal, with big тАШstarsтАЩ.

The long lasting association of J Om Prakash with Laxmikant-Pyarelal started in 1966 through the musical hit тАЬAaye Din Bahar KeтАЭ and lasted, 22 years, till тАЬAgneeтАЭ 1988.
J Om Prakash has made a total of 23 films of which 12 films have the music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Most of the films involving the Triumvirate, are musical hits.
